Mary Karg Teaching Colored Pencil Components!

Mary has been making these lovely colored pencil components and using them for bead embroidery!  You could just as easily make them into earrings or into other jewelry components!  This class uses thin copper sheeting and (you guessed it) colored pencils!  This is a beginning jewelry component class!  Come and expand your skills in making beautiful and unique jewelry components!  You will not be making a finished project, but a component that you can turn into a finished piece of jewelry.  All while learning a new skill and having fun!  Cost of this class includes supplies.

Instructor Bio:
I consider myself a wearable artist rather than a jewelry designer, specializing in lampwork, beadwork and metalwork. I seldom make the same thing twice, although I will get hooked on something I can?t quit until the itch is totally; the current obsession lately has been colored pencil on copper layered jewelry.
Lately, the demand to teach workshops has kept me on the road quite a bit. Nationally recognized instructor, I have taught at The Bead & Button Show, Bay Area Bead Bonanza, Spruill Center for the Arts, Art Academy of Cincinnati, Miami University CraftSummer, Shakerag Alley Art Center, GLBG Bead Daze, Northern Virginia Bead Society, Loose Bead Society of Wisconsin as well as numerous private studios and bead shops.
When not travelling, I can be found plugging away in my studio in Loveland, Ohio. I have been fortunate to have my work grace the pages of Bead & Button, Lapidary Journal, 1000 Glass Beads, 500 Beaded Objects, Beads of Glass, Glass Bead Evolution, and have been in exhibits and traveling shows. In 2017 I released my book "Layered Colored Pencil Jewelry."
