Susan teaching her Sapphire Christmas Ornament Cover!

This ornament is your next step in your Ornament creating journey!!  Almost a beginner ornament cover, but just a wee bit more challenging to make.  I don't really WANT to do 2 classes in one day, but I did wait a little late to start teaching ornaments....  If I have enough interest in this class (meaning  4 or more people interested in taking this class)- I'll teach it.  Please understand that if I don't have 4 or more people signed up the Thusday before class- I'm going to cancel it- so call before you come if you aren't signed up.  This class will start at 2PM if we do it and will cost $60 (lots more crystals which make it more expensive to make....).

almost a beginner project.

Susan Council
Instructor Bio:
Susan grew up in Louisville Kentucky and enjoyed crafty activities throughout her youth beginning with decorated anise cookies for her grandfather. She learned how to crochet and darn socks from her grandmother and did many crafty things with the Girl Scouts (while sadly watching the boy scouts go off camping and totally being jealous). She enjoyed singing Alto with the church choir and then 2nd Alto with her acapella chorus in college (that was serious fun!). Work eventually brought her to Chattanooga, by way of Virginia and Florida.

In regards to beading, she started in 2001 at Fat Jane’s bead shop in Hixon with simple stringing and simple wirework and moved on to Right Angle Weave, Herringbone and a bunch of other stitches and was published in BeadWork 2014 Aug/Sept with “Indian Summer” (Their name- hers is Moroccan Splendor) and again in 2015 BeadWork Favorite Stitches and even again in “Favorite Bracelets.” Her only 15 minutes of fame. She did several craft fairs in an attempt to earn back some of her beading money and eventually was convinced to open a Bead Shop because she had so many extra beads. Probably not the best idea ever, but one can always dream, right? And now she hardly ever gets to bead (though she does really enjoy making (or rather planning out) KITS!!!
