2021-12 Bead-Therapy Event Newsletter
Thanks so much for a great Small Business Saturday! I got to see many old friends and meet new ones this past Saturday!! Oh, and if you haven’t noticed, I’ve gotten rid of the credit card convenience fee. It was awful and I’m sorry I ever started it.
Closings during December – December 24-25 (Christmas Eve and Christmas day) to allow us to travel and celebrate the holidays with their/our family. I visited my family over Thanksgiving and my parents are getting older (age 87 and 88). My mother is doing poorly. I’m going to need to go back down to Florida and spend some more time with them. I hope I don’t need to go sooner. Sorry.
In January, we’ll be open New Year’s Eve, but closed on New Year’s day.
Changes coming in January. I’ve been told (not directly, but from one of our teachers who teaches elsewhere) that classes at bead therapy have been intimidating. Mainly this is in the Beginning beading class, but a lot of our classes are beginning classes, so it’s probably more of an issue than I thought to begin with. From now on, prices will include a kit (for most classes) and you are certainly welcome to pick your own beads (please come early) and we’ll subtract the kit cost and charge for whatever beads you pick. Remember that you get 10% off your purchases during class day. I’m also going to start selling tickets on EventBrite mainly because they help with advertising and reach more people.
Dec. 2nd, 2021 Thursday 6p-9pm. Free. Open Bead Night!! We’ll help with whatever beading issues you might be having or come if you just want to make new friends, see old friends and meet with other beady people! Come as early as you want! Bring your own supper or run out and come back!
Dec. 4th, 2021 at 10am Susan Teaching Beginning Beading – Come and learn the basics of making strung necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Cost of this class is $25. Also- Ed Lewis is having a home show and he does BEAUTIFUL wood turning pieces and are really worth going and seeing. They require “appointments” to view, so call now (or whenever). They might consider doing viewings past the weekend, but understand the show won’t be as organized if you go later. Elise will have some of her Kumihimo pieces (necklaces and some others) for sale too (and they are worth going to see if you don’t like woodworking….). Info in pics below- I’m going, but don’t really have enough money to put a dent in the show, so you don’t have to worry!!
