Bead-Therapy added Events that you don't want to miss!! Lampwork beads and a great Silent Auction!

There have been a few more events added to the Bead-Therapy Class Calender that aren't really classes, but I didn't want you all to miss!

Many of you know that there have been lampwork retreats in my front building at Bead-Therapy put on by Morjorie Lamgston and Terri Hale.  This is the last of these retreat and they are finishing the event with a Silent Auction of lampwork beads and other fabulous art items on the last day of the retreat.  These can be paintings, pottery, other glass work, beads and lampwork related items.  Several of the artists also do lovely metal work and beaded jewelry items for sale.

The silent auction will benefit Beads of Courage ( https://beadsofcourage.org ) a wonderful organization that supports/provides little sparks of happiness to seriously ill children and their families.  Here's more info about the events-

April 1st, 2023 at 5:30-7pm (ish) - Lampwork Artisan show and sale - There is a lampwork retreat going on at Bead-Therapy (at the building in front of the shop) by a local group (not by Bead-Therapy) and several of the lampworkers make beautiful beads and sell them in other shops/museums, etc on a regular basis. Several of them are bringing thier work to sell at the end of the retreat. Purchases will be between you and the artist, many can take credit card through PayPal, but cash is always appreciated. This will be before the Silent Auction.

April 1st, 2023 6PM-8PM Silent Auction benefiting Beads of Courage!!  This Silent Auction will be held at the end of the Lampwork retreat to benefit Beads of Courage Charity (provides innovative Arts-in-Medicine programs for children coping with serious illness, their families, and the clinicians who care for them). There will be lampwork beads and items related to lampwork, but also many other works of art (this group does a multitude of types of art and crafts- several which I have purchased in the past and have on display in Bead-Therapy). The retreat group have been long term sponsors (providing a multitude of beads to brighten seriously ill children's days) of Beads of Courage and since this is the last retreat for the group (Marjorie is "retiring" from the retreat business), the auction is going to be MUCH larger than previous events. Which means a lot of very interesting pieces for auction. There is no cost to attend.

April 15th, 2023 10AM-4PM Lampworkers play day/Torch Time!!  - This event is for Lampworkers who feel comfortable lighting a torch and making beads without supervision. Prior students of Marjorie's or people with prior experience torching are welcome to come torch with Morjorie's set up minor torches, tools and glass. This is not a class and you must have prior experience with torch work and be comfortable torching. You can bring your own specialty glass and tools if you want. Please understand that you will be asked to leave (without refund) if you demonstrate lack of safety skills/knowledge and prove to be a danger to others participating. Please call Bead-therapy for questions.  Marjorie will be there to supervise and answer questions, but will not be teaching a class. Cost is $60.
Deadline to sign up will be 4pm April 1st, 2023 and at least 5 participants are required (rental of tanks is expensive). Max of 7 unless there is significant demand and increase in # allowed will be considered.
Please bring snacks/lunch/drink for yourself, as this will not be provided. You can come and go as you please for breaks/food.
